I found myself following the direction of moving cloud and watching weather unfold. The whole shebang is compelling and an absolute pleasure to use. The globe’s timeline is managed through a Play button on a bar that lets you visualize the high-resolution animated weather-in-motion in one-day or five-day time spans, depending on whether you’ve paid for the upgrade or not. This app is based around a highly visual 3D globe that, much like Google Earth, is navigated through touch, allowing you to spin effortlessly around, speedily visiting continents with God-like ease. If you’ve used Google’s Earth product, you’ll have an idea as to what to expect. On the other hand, you’re getting what you pay for. Unfortunately it’s expensive at $3.99 in the Google Play store, plus an additional in-app purchase of $4.99 for a year’s premium features. MeteoEarth is a weather app unlike any other, and once you’ve seen its gaming-like graphics, you’ll want it - even if you’re not a weather geek. Germany-based MeteoGroup is one of those suppliers. Not to shatter any illusions, but just like the weather forecasting itself, which is accomplished by scientists in windowless workspaces in drab offices around the world - not the prancing, toothy guy in the shiny suit on TV - many of the visualizations on TV are supplied by third parties. Recently, it’s made some of its graphic tools available in mobile form. MeteoGroup is a European producer of weather-in-motion graphics that it supplies to broadcasters. Well, you can now get something similar on your Android device.

It can be a learning curve when it comes to the fighting at first, but a few hours of practice definitely helps. Personally, I don’t think the story is that bad, but what hooked me was the fighting mechanics. I’ve only played 10 hours on steam, but I played probably well over 100 hours of some of the alpha versions when it was still in the early phases. This game was one of my favorite games to play as a kid. The game runs smoothly, is enjoyable, has great combat, it just a little bit short. You can make your own levels fully in-game, no need for external programs. The game dev’s have made some tutorial videos on how to make you own levels, layout, combat, terrain and even story. You can play through them all in a few hours. The only downside here is that the stories are rather short. While all the stories are well done, the last one (Drika’s story) feels a bit of as you don’t play a rabbit, you don’t have your jumping abilties. Transparent governance and the goal of including the support for 95% of all existing cryptocurrencies, Anyswap is pretty much destined to quickly expand its market capitalization. But by far the best feature of Anyswap for investors who look for massively undervalued DeFi projects to watch is its constant, fast rate of development that guarantees future growth in price. From the very beginning, it provided enhanced functionality and advanced solutions, which together with the extremely low fee of only 0.4% for every swap transaction made it quickly rise in value. Expanded functionality of Anyswap supports many features like Decentralized Cross-Chain Bridge (depositing any coin into the protocol in a decentralized way), Cross-Chain Swaps (immediately swapping one coin for another) and Programmed Pricing and Liquidity (programmed pricing system enabling a liquidity provider to add and withdraw liquidity into swap pair).Īt the moment of its launch in July 2020, Anyswap became the first fully decentralized platform that does cross-chain swaps. It enables fully decentralized and secure swaps between any coins on any blockchain that uses ECDSA or EdDSA signature algorithms, including BTC, ETH, USDT, XRP, LTC, FSN, ERC20 tokens and many other coins.Īnyswap offers many advantages over competing solutions such as the currently still more popular Uniswap, such as providing its users with a utility and governance token ANY that allows voting rights enabling holders to choose the coins that will be listed next. AnyswapĪnyswap is a new Open-Source, fully decentralized cross-chain swap protocol built on Fusion chain and powered by Fusion’s DCRM technology (Distributed Control Rights Management) with automated pricing and liquidity system. Luckily there are still many DeFi projects that are greatly undervalued and from this article, you will learn exactly which are the top 5 most interesting undervalued DeFi projects to watch. Since the DeFi market’s capitalization has jumped in value from 1 billion to almost 7 billion in just 4 months many people are starting to think whether or not it’s now too late to invest in Decentralized Finance. With the DeFi ecosystem on the rise, more and more investors are wondering which DeFi to invest in and looking for undervalued DeFi projects that are likely to moon in the near future. Though some people say that the original cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum were technically the first DeFi solutions, it’s much more common to associate Decentralized Finance with more advanced blockchain applications such as stablecoins or decentralized exchanges. To put it simply, DeFi aims to recreate the well-known, time-tested, traditional financial instruments in a fully decentralized architecture, removing the need of trusted third parties such as companies and governments. It’s enough to say that currently 27 out of top 100 cryptocurrencies with the highest market cap are DeFi projects, with the most popular one being Chainlink at #6 and soon to likely surpass Bitcoin Cash and become the first DeFi coin to enter the top 5 of the most capitalized cryptocurrencies on the market.īefore we go any further, let’s get back to the basics and quickly recap what exactly is Decentralized Finance, or DeFi as it’s more commonly known. CoinMarketCap’s introduction of a separate list dedicated exclusively to DeFi projects confirmed the status of Decentralized Finance as the most dynamically expanding branches of blockchain technology. Decentralized Finance (DeFi) has been all the talk within the crypto world recently.

Grand Funk's Railroad's recording of 'Mean Mistreater' adds a sense of dynamics into the mix by underpinning the verses with a solo electric piano accompaniment and alternating these verses with instrumental breaks that underpin Mark Farner's bluesy keyboard solos with a frenetic, insistent throb from the rhythm section. In 2002 Closer to Home was remastered on compact disc with bonus tracks and also released in a limited-edition box set Trunk of Funk that contained the band's first four albums. During the early 1970s, Zevon toured regularly with the Everly Brothers as keyboard player and band leader/musical coordinator. Zevon's second effort, Leaf In The Wind, was scrapped (though a belated release was contemplated just prior to his death). Flashes of Zevon's later writing preoccupations of romantic loss and noir-ish violence are present in songs like "Tule's Blues" and "A Bullet for Ramona". Another early composition ("She Quit Me") was included in the soundtrack for the film Midnight Cowboy (1969 )(retitled "He Quit Me.) Zevon's first attempt at a solo album, Wanted Dead or Alive (1969), was produced by 1960s cult figure Kim Fowley but did not sell well. He wrote several songs for his White Whale label-mates the Turtles ("Like the Seasons" and "Outside Chance"), though his participation in their recording is unknown. He spent time as a session musician and jingle composer. Zevon turned to a musical career early, including a stretch with high school friend Violet Santangelo as part of a Sonny and Cher-type male/female duo called lyme & cybelle (exercising artistic license, the band name eschewed capitalization). Zevon's parents divorced when he was 16 years old and he soon quit high school and moved from Los Angeles to New York to become a folk singer. By the age of 13, Zevon was an occasional visitor to the home of Igor Stravinsky where he, alongside Robert Craft, briefly studied modern classical music. Zevon was born in Chicago, Illinois to William "Stumpy" Zevon (formerly "Zivotovsky") and Beverly Cope Simmons, a Mormon from Salt Lake City, Utah. Letterman later performed guest vocals on "Hit Somebody! (The Hockey Song)" with Paul Shaffer and members of the CBS Orchestra. He was a frequent guest on Late Night with David Letterman and the Late Show with David Letterman. Other well-known songs written by Zevon have been recorded by other artists, including "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" (a top 40 hit by Linda Ronstadt), "Accidentally Like A Martyr", "Mohammed's Radio", "Carmelita", and "Hasten Down The Wind".Īlong with his own compositions, Zevon recorded or performed occasional covers, including Bob Dylan's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and Leonard Cohen's "First We Take Manhattan". His best-known compositions include "Werewolves of London", "Lawyers, Guns And Money", "Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner" and "Johnny Strikes Up The Band", all of which are featured on his 1978 sophomore release, Excitable Boy. Zevon's work has often been complimented by well-known musicians. Warren William Zevon (Janu– September 7, 2003) was an American rock singer/songwriter and musician noted for including his strange, sardonic opinions of life in his musical lyrics, composing songs that were sometimes humorous and often had political or historical themes. Adapted from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: There’s a lot of customisation that affects your rewards, as well as tailoring the game to your specific needs. If you do decide to just jump straight into the racing, there are a number of factors that can improve your game, either by making it more realistic or simpler to play. It’s not exactly a sandbox, but there is a certain amount of freedom involved and it lets you get used to the handling, or test out a new bike to see how it feels. The Compound is an open track in the countryside, where you can ride around at your leisure, in any direction. And if you get bored of doing that in a racing environment, there’s the Compound to fall back on. There’s a certain excitement to jumping around muddy tracks on fast bikes, and here is no different. It’s a lot more enjoyable than games like Ride and its sequel though, as it isn’t as boredom-inducing, and there are still aspects of dirtbike racing that appeal to most people. It’s still a niche game, based on a sport that doesn’t get the same attention as MotoGP or any of its four-wheeled cousins. That doesn’t mean that everyone will definitely enjoy MXGP3. The handling doesn’t hinder you though, as it remains responsive at all times, with just the right amount of realism to keep it faithful to the sport, but an ever-so-slight arcadey edge that allows anyone to enjoy the racing. It isn’t quite Gran Turismo bad, but it does still get in the way as it stubbornly leans into a corner that’s already occupied by several other riders. I won’t lie, the AI is pretty basic, but it still fights for position and it keeps things from growing stale. Whether you go for the full realism of Pro handling, or stick with the standard model for a simpler, more accessible (and less crashy) gameplay experience, you’ll still have to battle both the AI opponents and physics. Races themselves are exciting too, no matter how you choose to play. It would just look much better without the odd blurriness over everything. No mean feat when there are 22 riders in an event. That’s not to say it’s a particularly bad looking game, as the stadium circuits are quite detailed, so are the bikes that churn up the dirt beneath their wheels. This is made even worse during rainfall, when the impossibly large droplets do their best to stop you seeing anything at all, and if you’ll forgive the awful word play, the muddied visuals become even more pronounced. From the moment the camera pans across your first race destination (after the excessive loading times, I might add), the Vaseline-smeared graphical style is immediately apparent. The presentation is dull, its menus devoid of personality, and its visuals are all over the shop. That being said, MXGP3 is lacking the quality of last year’s MotoGP game. The slower bikes let you get a feel for the handling, letting you naturally progress in skill before moving up to the MXGP class where things really get going. Working your way up from the bottom is the best way to start these games, the best way to start almost any sim racer actually, as it allows you to ease into the game and learn the ropes. Much like its Valentino Rossi MotoGP game, Milestone offers another two-wheeled experience that offers something a little more than simply giving you the same old trudge through the licensed season. From finding a sponsor and a team in the MX2 class, to climbing the ladder and winning the MXGP championship, it’s all here in Milestone’s game. But then, that’s not at all what MXGP3 attempts to be, instead it’s doing its damnedest to faithfully recreate the realism of the biggest series in motocross. Well, being blunt, I didn’t get what I hoped for. But when MXGP3 was dropped into my lap (metaphorically, at least) I let myself hope for something that would rekindle that old love for the original Motocross Madness games. The Xbox 360 addition to the series just didn’t work, as it couldn’t decide what kind of game it wanted to be. Ever since the first Motocross Madness on PC, I’ve enjoyed a handful of motocross games over the years, but none have really compared. Jolin Kish has been approved to develop 28 units on Bank Street, also downtown, notes David Brooks, Lebanon’s planning and development director.Īnother developer, Mike Davidson, recently purchased two acres at the site of the former Village Market at the edge of the city’s historic Colburn Park with an eye toward building a mixed-use project including retail, restaurant and as many as 240 housing units. Some of the units would be workforce housing and the rest market rate, according to Mulholland. in downtown Lebanon, following a massive cleanup of contaminants at the site. The hospital has also started construction on a 212,000-square-foot, five-story Patient Pavilion, expected to open early next year. On another nearby site, Massachusetts-based Saxon Partners plans to build 250 apartments geared toward hospital workers.ĭartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is roughly a mile away. It would sit directly across from a 53-acre parcel where Dartmouth College is building a 309-apartment housing complex for graduate students. Many of them piggyback on existing developments, in keeping with the smart growth philosophy.Ī 204-unit housing complex aimed at middle-income tenants is proposed by two developers, Dick Anagnost and Ken Braverman, on the east side of Mount Support Road not far from the existing 252-unit Timberwood Commons complex. “There is a building boom, and it’s mostly residential,” he adds. Some 1,400 housing units are now under construction or approved in Lebanon, Mulholland says. Such an approach minimizes demand for new infrastructure and also makes for more walkable neighborhoods, according to City Manager Shaun Mulholland. The plan calls for concentrating new housing around existing infrastructure like water and sewer, and revitalizing underused properties when possible. That strains municipal services paid for by residents and has led to demand for more housing to accommodate those workers and to entice new ones to locate in the city.Ī housing shortage, particularly workforce housing, has afflicted most NH communities, but Lebanon is rising to the challenge following a “smart growth” approach detailed in its 2012 Master Plan and refined through subsequent “visioning” sessions. “That data alone shows how critical Lebanon is to the area’s economy,” he adds.īut with economic might comes challenges, as the daytime population of the city nearly triples from its census population of 14,300 as workers commute from surrounding communities. William Dunn, senior vice president at Mascoma Bank in Lebanon and chair of the Economic Development Commission, notes that there are 2.6 jobs for every working adult residing in Lebanon, with every other town in the region, except for Hartford, Vt., and Hanover, having fewer jobs than workers. The Upper Valley region straddles the Connecticut River between NH and Vermont, with its core cities Lebanon and Hanover in the Granite State and White River Junction in Vermont. “Lebanon itself is not a big city, but when you look at us in terms of our impact on the region, we punch above our weight,” says Karen Liot Hill, a 17-year member of the City Council and member of the Economic Development Commission. Lebanon has attracted such medical and high-tech firms as Novo Nordisk, TomTom, FujiFilm, Hypertherm, Celdara Medical and Adimab.ĭartmouth-Hitchcock Patient Pavilion under construction, above, and a rendering of the finished pavilion, below. “The growth is really in tech and biotech.” “The hospital and the college act as the big anchor, but all the growth that’s happening is with the spin-offs,” says Chip Brown, principal broker at Hanover-based Brown Commercial Realty and a citizen representative on Lebanon’s Economic Development Commission. What type of dining chairs should you choose? Once you’ve decided on a dining table, look for dining chairs that share a common design element. It allows everyone at the table to see each other, but the bigger the table, the harder it will be able to hold a conversation with someone at the other end. A square dining table can be a dramatic addition to a dining room, but only if you have the space. If you have a tight space to work in, a round dining table is best, and also a great option if you want to encourage conversation. Rectangular dining tables are versatile and can work in a variety of settings, while oval dining tables are more traditional and can turn any meal into an occasion. A general rule of thumb is to leave no less than 1 metre from the dining table to the wall or any additional furniture, so people have enough room to comfortably move around the space. The right size, however, also depends on how much room you have. What size and shape should your dining table be? Your dining table should be able to seat all family members with some room for additional guests – each person should have at least 60 centimetres of space at the table. These won’t show up sticky fingerprints as much and can be dressed up for guests. Look for versatile dining tables in either Australian or New Zealand hardwood or weathered timber for a more rustic look. Perhaps you want your dining room to multi-task and accommodate everyday meals, homework sessions and grown-up dinner parties… If that’s the case, furniture is key. A formal dining room, on the other hand, is more suited to a dedicated space, which is more common in heritage homes where space originally wasn’t at a premium. As for where you position it – well, any unused space in the home can be converted into a casual dining space, whether it be at the end of a kitchen island, or at the bottom of the stairs. If you plan on using your dining room on a daily basis, a casual dining set-up with sturdy, long-lasting furniture is best. How will you use your dining room? First, consider how frequently you will use the space. Here's what you need to consider before you start planning a new dining room. While it may not be used frequently, it is a great focal point in the home, and requires little furnishings. A dining room can be used for casual dining, integrated into an open plan and connected to the living and kitchen areas or as a formal space reserved solely for entertaining.
